Resident Evil 4 Remake
As of my knowledge cutoff (September 2021), it was confirmed that a Resident Evil 4 remake is in development. The game is being developed by Capcom, the company that created the original Resident Evil 4 game in 2005. The remake was announced during a virtual event held in April 2021, and while a release date was not provided, it was confirmed that the game is currently in development.
The Resident Evil 4 remake is expected to feature updated graphics and gameplay mechanics, as well as new content that was not included in the original game. However, as with any remake, it’s possible that some aspects of the game may be changed or removed to better suit modern gaming audiences.
It’s worth noting that Capcom has a history of remaking and remastering their classic games, with recent examples including the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3. Given the popularity of the original Resident Evil 4 game, many fans are eagerly anticipating the release of the remake, and more information is likely to be revealed in the future as development continues.
Dead Island 2
Dead Island 2 is an upcoming action role-playing game and a sequel to the 2011 video game Dead Island. As of my knowledge cutoff (September 2021), the game is still in development by Dambuster Studios, a subsidiary of THQ Nordic.
Dead Island 2 was originally announced in 2014 and was being developed by Yager Development. However, the development was later transferred to Sumo Digital in 2016 before it was passed on to Dambuster Studios in 2019.
Since then, there has been little official news regarding the game’s development. However, in a recent interview with GamesIndustry.biz, THQ Nordic’s CEO, Klemens Kundratitz, stated that Dead Island 2 is still in development and that the company is committed to releasing the game at some point in the future.
It’s worth noting that the development of Dead Island 2 has been plagued by a series of setbacks, including several changes in development studios, which may have contributed to the game’s extended development period. As of now, there is no official release date for Dead Island 2, but fans are hopeful that more information about the game will be revealed soon.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
As of my knowledge cutoff (September 2021), there is no official announcement or information about a game called “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor”. It’s possible that this game is a fan-made project or a rumored title that has not been confirmed by the franchise’s official sources.
However, there are several Star Wars games currently in development, including Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2, which is the sequel to the popular 2019 action-adventure game developed by Respawn Entertainment. The sequel was confirmed by Electronic Arts in May 2021, and while details about the game are scarce, it’s expected to continue the story of the first game and feature similar gameplay mechanics.
In addition to Fallen Order 2, there are other Star Wars games in development, including a new Lego Star Wars game, a new Star Wars Battlefront game, and an open-world game set in the Star Wars universe being developed by Ubisoft’s Massive Entertainment.
While it’s possible that “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor” could be an unannounced game that is currently in development, there has been no official confirmation of this title as of my knowledge cutoff.
Redfall
Redfall is an upcoming open-world first-person shooter game developed by Arkane Austin and published by Bethesda Softworks. As of my knowledge cutoff (September 2021), the game is currently in development and was announced during the E3 2021 gaming event.
Redfall is set in a small town in Massachusetts that has been overrun by vampires, and the player assumes the role of a survivor who must team up with other survivors to fight against these supernatural creatures. The game features a diverse cast of characters, each with their own unique abilities, weapons, and playstyles.
One of the most unique aspects of Redfall is its open-world setting, which allows players to explore the town of Redfall and its surrounding areas at their own pace, taking on missions and challenges as they go. The game also features co-op gameplay, allowing players to team up with friends and battle the vampires together.
Redfall is being developed using the same engine as the popular Dishonored series, and it’s expected to feature similar gameplay mechanics and immersive storytelling. The game is currently slated for release in summer 2022 exclusively on Xbox Series X/S and PC, and it’s one of the most highly anticipated games of the coming year.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
As of my knowledge cutoff (September 2021), there is no official announcement or information about a game called “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom”. It’s possible that this game is a fan-made project or a rumored title that has not been confirmed by the franchise’s official sources.
However, there are several other Zelda games that have been announced or are in development. In February 2021, Nintendo announced the development of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, which is the sequel to the highly acclaimed 2017 game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The game is expected to continue the story of the first game and feature a new world to explore, as well as new gameplay mechanics.
In addition to Breath of the Wild 2, there are also remakes of classic Zelda games in development, such as The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, which was released in July 2021. There is also speculation that Nintendo may be working on a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which is considered by many fans to be one of the best games in the franchise.
While it’s possible that “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom” could be an unannounced game that is currently in development, there has been no official confirmation of this title as of my knowledge cutoff.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is an upcoming action-adventure game developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. As of my knowledge cutoff (September 2021), the game is still in development and is expected to be released in 2022 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
In Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, players take control of Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark, who are tasked with taking down the Justice League after they have been corrupted by Brainiac. The game is set in an open-world Metropolis, and players must navigate the city and battle various enemies, including the Justice League members, as they complete missions and progress through the story.
The game is being developed using Rocksteady Studios’ proprietary game engine, which was also used to develop the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham series. The game features a single-player campaign that can also be played in co-op mode with up to four players.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is one of the most highly anticipated games of 2022, and it’s expected to offer a fresh take on the superhero genre by allowing players to take control of the villains rather than the heroes.
